Growing up in small-town Colorado was not a very encouraging environment for a sensitive young soul, so I shut that down pretty hard. Fortunately, I was able to escape at 19! In my early 20’s I started to see glimmers of what was possible. A friend referred me to an herbal store to help me clear a persistent infection. The proprietor handed me a few bottles and told me I would be able to feel which one was right for me. Sure enough, one had a tingly warm feeling in my hand and it fixed my infection!
My big awakening started when I was 28. I decided to start my own business and hired a coach for support. She handed me Louise Hay’s book “The Power is Within You.” Reading that book awakened me to the fact that I wasn’t just a victim of my circumstances. That realization totally changed my trajectory in life. I began going to personal growth seminars, leadership workshops and opening my mind to what was possible spiritually and energetically.
One of the goals I set during that time was spiritual expansion. In 3 months I experienced as many new and different spiritual traditions as possible. One of those was a guided past life journey. I visited a psychic with 2 friends. As she guided me into a trance, the clock on the wall stopped ticking and the temperature in the room dropped. My journey took me back to the time of the Roman conquests. I could feel the emotions, see the scenery and even taste the bland meat boiling over the fire.
Since that day, reading past lives has come very naturally. To that, I added shamanic training and rites, Buddhist studies and meditation, Native American and New Age philosophies, and comparative religious studies. I received my BA from Naropa University in Contemplative Psychology, emphasis on the Psychology of Health and Healing and a Minor in Ecopsychology.
I became a Certified Reflexologist, Quantum-Touch Level 1 practitioner, and studied crystal healing and gridding. Several additional methods of meditation came into my life along the way. Because of my experience with Christ-Force energy, I wanted to feel more of that and even became a baptized Christian. I was on my way to becoming an Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Coach when a little incident with one of my horses changed my trajectory again. I decided to keep my feet on the ground after that!
For over a decade, I have been training with Psychic Horizons Center in Boulder, learning more about the energetic world, our spiritual anatomy, animal communication, house and business healings. I am an ordained Reverend with the Church of Inner Light.
All that to say, I have a very eclectic sense of spirituality! But all of this has brought me deep healing and allowed me to blossom into my true self. And this is what I wish for each and every one of you!
